High Quality, Fancy and Cheap Subnotebooks that Fit in any Pocket
The new EEE Subnotebook series by ASUS is a revolution in pocket computing. You can take it everyhwere you like, it feature a 7-inch screen and comes with a Linux operating system as well as 40 built-in applications like Open Office 2.0, Firefox and even a nice dictionary for student works. It even allows you to run Windows XP so you can enjoy all the application you're used to.
On the technical side the EEE is powered by a 900 MHz Intel Mobile processor with integrated GPU and offers Wi-Fi Lan (802.11b/g), Fast Ethernet and a 56k modem on the connectivity side. All data are stored on a solid state disk (Flash memory) which is extremely fast and shock-resistant compared to traditional hard disks.
In order to connect your external devices the Asus EEE provides three USB 2.0 ports, the usual audio input and output jacks, a SecureDigital memory card slot (even compatible with SDHC cards!) and a VGA connector for external monitors. The battery lasts up to 3.5 hours which should be enough on the go. Last but not least you get a one-year warranty for parts and labor.
